Bottom marks with floral (花印款) or other pictorial design are relatively often seen on Yixing teapots produced during the late Qing dynasty or the early Republican period. Inscription is a character 壽 'Longevity' written in different calligraphic variants. The lid knob is a Ruyi scepter. Probably used as an infusers to brew medicinal herbs This type of mark is related to a maker or a pottery kiln. It is used instead of a Reign mark Zi sha clay 自殺 |
