Shanxi folding chair. Original metal work. Wood is possibly birchwood.
Mid to late 19th century.
Yunan carved back folding chair with red lacquer and some gold highlighting. I believe that the fabric seat is original to the chair; a happy unusual bonus.
Mid 19th century.
From Shanghai region, set of 6 vase design windows.
Mid 19th century lacquered jumu.
Small bench from Anhui. This is carved out of a single piece of wood - a log with branches. I don't know how old but, by the patina and condition, at least a hundred years.
Southern Elm (Ju Mu) cupboard. The doors are removable as is the center stile. Cracked ice lattice design on the bottom. The metal work is not original (as typical).
Late 1800's - turn of the century.
Not a classic design but, in my travels in China I have seen a few pieces of furniture with a similar western - Chinese mix to the design.
