Zollanvari

( The Zollanvari family from Shiraz has been active in the carpet trade for generations. Zollanvari was the first large-scale dealer of Gabbeh and south Persian tribal rugs in the 1980's exporting to Europe. Zollanvari was also a pioneer in the production of high-quality nomadic rugs in very fine quality and modern patterns, which nevertheless did not deny their origin.

In general, Zollanvari carpets from southern Persia can be roughly divided into 6 groups: Gabbeh (normal quality), Sherkalu (slightly finer), Amalehbaft (medium fine quality), Kashkouli (modern graphish, very fine quality), Loribaft (traditional designs interpreted in modern style) very fine quality) and Bolourbaft (Loribaft designs in particularly fine quality with exquisite wool quality).
