DESCRIPTION |
This is a pair of nice solid iron wood (tieli mu) chairs. The mat seats were restored by traditional Hong Kong workshop. There is early (probably around te 1900s repair done to the underside of one chair. Provenance - 1994 auction from China Guardian Auction House. Arm rests repaired during the mid Qing. |
